#Hp laptop conexant audio device not found on dv6615 install#
When I extract the files and then click to run the install program (as administrator), it does not run. one day when i turned on my laptop, i could hear a difference in the sound like it sounded lower than normal.

The HP Support Communities may have information, or you can ask the experts directly. I went to the ASUS website and downloaded the most updated driver for my computer model. If you get the following message when starting up the computer 'Failed to create Conexant Audio Factory, the SmartAudio will now exit', follow the instructions in Failed to Create Conexant Audio Factory. Therefore, I can't click to update drivers through the device manager. The affected driver will be named Conexant ISST Audio or Conexant HDAudio Driver under Sound, video and game controllers in Device Manager and have file name uci64a96.dll through uci64a231.dll and. There is only "AMD High Definition Audio Device". When I check the device manager, the Conexant Audio driver the computer came with is no longer under the sound tab. It then says "Device is not plugged in" and Specifically, the audio icon says "No speakers or headphones are plugged in." When I run the Microsoft diagnostics, it says "Restart your PC to finish installing drivers and updates." I've tried this without fix. I opened my computer from sleep to find that the audio was no longer working.
